Well, that didn’t quite turn out the way I thought it would. One of the sucky things about life as you get older is that you have less time to devote to fun ramblings and stuff like that. Half the time you get to the end of the day’s “stuff I have to do” and simply don’t want to get behind the keyboard and turn downtime into more work. I’m working on addressing that, but in the meantime, no posts. Bleah.

That said, I have a few planned… which is to say I’d like to write them sometime soon-ish, but make no promises. Among said topics:

• How appendage-like my iPad has become. Seriously. I do maybe 3/4 of my web browsing on the thing and it’s seldom far from my reach. Just… wow. I was skeptical at how revolutionary such a device actually was, but I’ll be damned, it is. (And the Star Wars fan in me always comes back to the fact that, “Look, ma! I’ve got a datapad!”)
• DC Comics rebooting their entire line to new #1s in September and “rolling back” some of their character histories. Kind of a comics megapost.
• The dreaded politics post wherein I actually get into some, dare I say, controversial matters and try to describe my underlying political philosophy.
• World War II. Probably an amalgamation of several books, movies, and TV series (drama and documentary) I’ve read/watched recently. It’s a subject I’ve really dived into over the past few years and have a few thoughts I’m interested in organizing into a proper narrative.
• And, when all else fails, I’ve got several writing posts I keep meaning to go back to.

So, I’m still here, it just wasn’t the blogging-est year I thought it was gonna be. Sadly, it never is.
